Dr. Tintorer went to medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School (now part of Rutgers University), and went on initially to begin a residency in surgery before deciding that a career in psychiatry was where she wanted to be. She did her general psychiatry training at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan, and then her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at St. Luke's Roosevelt Medical Center (now part of Mt. Sinai) in Manhattan as well. She has rotated through a therapeutic school in NYC, worked in a substance abuse clinic in Brooklyn, and worked in child, adolescent, and adult inpatient psychiatric units and outpatient clinics in both NY and NJ. She has been in practice in Monmouth County, NJ since 2010.

Special interests include supporting people through major life changes, LGBT issues, and mindfulness practices. Strengths include a combination of promoting unconditional love and acceptance, fostering optimism and hope, while also encouraging a strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility in order to succeed in life. Dr. Tintorer uses humor and lightheartedness to help engage patients and families, and to help keep a realistic perspective on life's problems.
